Clutch and gearbox..

This job is pretty straight forward with the engine out of the car. You will need a clutch alignment tool, if the clutch is not perfectly aligned then the gear box simply will not go on.
Fit the release plate and tighten the bolts in stages, as shown below to prevent warping. Use some Loctite on the bolts.
I used my crane to support the weight of the gear box while I aligned the shaft. If the clutch is aligned properly the gearbox will simple slide into place.
Torque all external retaining bolts and refit the clutch slave cylinder.
Next, time to prepare the gear selector and gearbox casing…
