Non-kit parts..
In addition to the SunSpeed kit you will require extra parts to do the install. I will post the final cost of these once I’ve completed the install.
In the above image:
2 x 60-80mm Pipe clips
1 x 70mm Silicone hose to connect the induction kit to the throttle body
2 x Elise S2 exhaust gaskets (to fit the cat)
1 x Honda K20A2 exhaust manifold gasket
1 x Honda K20A2 ‘In-sight’ oil filter
1 x Honda JDM wide-band lambda sensor (as I am fitting a JDM ECU) - Don’t buy one of these until you have decided what ECU you want to use. The US JDM ecu does not like this Honda wide-band and ignores it.
2 x Honda gearbox oil seals (not pictured)
Fluids (not pictured)
10 Ltr - 5w40 fully synthetic engine oil
10 Ltr - Good quality - mono-ethylene glycol anti-freeze (text from Lotus S2 manual) - Dan Turner as AME to use Water Wetter in the coolant system as well.
5 Ltr - DOT 4 non-mineral brake fluid (text from Lotus S2 manual)
5 Ltr - Honda gearbox oil
Permatex Ultra-Copper silicone gasket maker
Misc parts
I also had to buy:
K20A2 Honda thermostat housing - New (broken on donor engine)
K20A2 Intermediate shaft heat shield - Used (missing from donor engine) - not required
K20A2 Throttle body evap canister purge valve - Used (I broke during cleaning process - more care in future)
4 x High tensile bolts to replace OEM bolts in belt tensioner housing
Exhaust wrap for the manifold.
Heatshrink boxed in various sizes
Body mounting clips in various sizes
Electrical crimps in various sizes
Insulation tape
Cable ties
Latex gloves
Misc bolts for mounting engine on engine stand
Note: Now I’ve finished there are a few more bits to add to this list… please wait.
